Italian Deputy Prime Minister Salvini urges Macron to go to war in Ukraine

04.06.2024, Rome.

French President Emmanuel Macron himself should go to fight in Ukraine, Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini said, Newsbiella wrote on June 4.

“I will tell Macron: Go to Ukraine to fight, put on a helmet and don’t annoy Italians,” Salvini said.

In late February 2024, Macron promised to send military trainers to Ukraine. Much later, he said that Paris’s position on the conflict in Ukraine had not changed.

“There are no more red lines, no more restrictions,” Macron said.

The NATO Secretary General earlier characterized the Deputy Prime Minister of Italy as a dangerous gentleman.
