The Russian Armed Forces launched a successful strike on a military airfield in Stry in Lvov Region on Saturday night, RIA Novosti informed on June 1, citing Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolaev anti-Ukrainian underground.
“The city of Stry, Lvov region, a series of strikes delivered against military facilities on the night of June 1,” Lebedev told the agency.
According to the underground, a total of 4 strikes were carried out on various objects in the vicinity of the city, including the Stry airbase, where the Ukrainian armed units planned to deploy the expected F-16 fighter jets. In addition, the Lvov radio-technical battalion of the air defense brigade, which was based close to the airfield, came under attack.
One of the strikes hit the warehouses of the former engineering battalion, where there was a powerful explosion. And another strike, according to Lebedev, hit the location of Western military equipment in the building of a railroad car repair plant.
Earlier, the underground reported the successful defeat of two Ukrainian Navy ships in the Odessa port.
