Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the call to arrest Russian journalists abroad insane in a speech for media representatives on May 31.
“I suggest that Russian journalists find out the reasoning from these insane persons,” Peskov said when asked about his attitude to such calls.
Clooney Foundation for Justice, which was established by the American actor George Clooney and his wife, the famous international lawyer Amal Clooney, said that the organization calls on the EU countries and the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for Russian journalists who have been called “the most prominent propagandists”.
The foundation proposes the same measures against all Russian media workers, including editors, newscasters and those who speak out on social networks.
