Russia is ready to discuss deliveries of Su-35 fighter jets to Indonesia, Russian military attaché Maksim Lukyanov said, Tempo magazine wrote on April 27.
“We are ready to supply them to Indonesia, if, of course, there is a desire on the part of Jakarta,” the publication quotes Lukyanov as saying. “We are ready to negotiate about it.”
Earlier in early February 2022, it became known that Jakarta plans to buy French Dassault Rafale instead of Russian Su-35 fighters. The countries signed an agreement on the purchase of 42 French fighter jets.
At the same time, in 2015, Indonesia considered Russian fighter jets as the most promising for purchase by the country’s armed forces.
