Three small guided-missile corvettes of the Karakurt class will join the Black Sea Fleet this year, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said during a conference call of the Russian Defense Ministry on April 2.
These ships are capable of carrying high-precision missiles.
The minister also said that the lead ship of this series, the Tsiklon, has already joined the Black Sea Fleet and is successfully carrying out tasks to defend the country.
In addition, a new patrol ship Viktor the Great will soon be launched.
