The internal conflict in Yugoslavia was fueled not only from within, but from outside as well, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, TASS informed on March 25.
Putin spoke with TASS Director General Andrey Kondrashov during the preparation of the documentary “Belgrade,” which was shown on the Rossiya-1 TV channel on March 24.
“The internal conflict that led to the 1999 events in Yugoslavia was fueled both from inside and outside,” the president said.
The NATO military operation against Yugoslavia began 25 years ago – on March 24, 1999. Putin in the documentary “Belgrade” called these actions of Western countries unacceptable. He emphasized that they started the war in Europe.
