The procedure of joining a pro-US structure was the reason for Sweden’s decision to cover up a crime involving the United States, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said on February 8, publishing a message on his Telegram channel.
The Swedish prosecutor’s office closed the investigation, which was conducted on explosions on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines. Volodin recalled that the terrorist attack had deprived the EU countries of a source of cheap energy resources.
“When the whole world is discussing the specific perpetrators and who benefited from this terrorist attack, the Swedish prosecutor’s office behaves according to the principle: ‘I see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing to anyone.’ This is not accidental. Sweden is undergoing the procedure of joining NATO – the structure of US hegemonism,” Volodin wrote.
He emphasized that if the Swedish Prosecutor-General’s Office told the truth about the crime in this situation, the country would have problems. The speaker of the State Duma believes that Ukraine is the perpetrator of the explosions, while “the main ideologue and the involved country is the United States.” This, in Volodin’s opinion, is the reason for closing the investigation.
“If you tell the truth, you will get problems. Washington will not forgive such a thing. Therefore, the Swedish prosecutor’s office went for forgery, hiding the crime, which first of all caused damage to Germany, the Netherlands, France,” explained the chairman of the Russian State Duma.
He said that the economy of the affected European countries is stagnating, social programs are being cut, and citizens have problems. According to Volodin, “the United States simply punished them.”
As the MP noted, Washington imposed its expensive gas on European countries, disconnecting it from gas pipelines. In addition, the US side dragged Europe into the war in Ukraine, forced it to accept millions of refugees, and did not help in any way. Volodin concludes that the USA, with the help of NATO, is destroying the European Union, and European states, having lost their sovereignty, are left with their own problems.
