The Bolsheviks gave people hope for a better world, but after the collapse of the USSR humanity faces dismal prospects, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on January 8 on the program ObyektivNO on the Belarusian ONT channel.
The political scientist referred to the words of the Irish writer Bernard Shaw that the sun of the truth was rising in the east. He explained that the Russian Bolsheviks brought a major strategic hope for a rearrangement to the world, which would be fairer and much better that the reality that existed then. And, in his opinion, even those who did not want that kind of a rearrangement had a feeling that something different was possible.
“And that alternative also affected the mainstream called capitalism. If there had been no Soviet Union, there would have been no social achievements of the working people in the West who built this consumerist society. So, this is when this hope appeared,” the political scientist explained.
Besides, Sergey Kurginyan stressed that the situation with hope is much worse today. According to him, it is ridiculous to hope that the world of US domination will fail and that a flourishing multipolar world will appear on its ruins. The political scientist indicated that the US, firstly, is not prepared for that kind of ruins.
“It is quite possible that if they have to admit they will be ruined these ruins will be somewhat nuclear, and this will be the end of not only the US world but many more things as well. As the Nazis used to say, ‘When we leave we will slam the door in such a way that the world will be sick.’ This is something the US can well repeat,” the leader of Essence of Time added.
At the same time, he pointed out a mistake of those who hopes that a multipolar world will bring salvation. The political scientist explained that this word will be far from flourishing.
“A globalist world, a world of US domination is terrible, anti-humanistic, and essentially it is the building of a hell on Earth. However, a multipolar world will be a world of such confrontations, such wars etc. that we could not even dream of. Because each pole will dictate something to the others, and there will be no rules. This is absolutely clear,” he said.
