The Russians need to awaken in order to make their enemies respect and fear them, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on December 31 in his New Year address What is Our Chance to Hold Out and Win?
The political scientist expressed confidence that Russia’s enemy, the collective West, will continue the war against Russia one way or another. The West will keep supporting Ukraine in spite of the Ukrainians’ failed counteroffensive. On the contrary, the expert believes, the Ukrainian army’s failure will only increase the supplies of weapons.
“Firstly, money for Ukraine will be successfully raised. Not at once, but it will. Secondly, no one will really feel disappointed that the Ukrainians failed in their counteroffensive. <…> Thirdly, having realized that the Muscovites are fighting back, the enemies will only increase their supplies to Ukraine. And fourthly, this is not the end yet: the Ukrainian pot is not the only one that will be played in the coming decades. No one can grant us peace in the global situation that is forming. The world is drifting towards numerous conflicts, there will be more and more pots, and this is another thing we should get prepared for,” Sergey Kurginyan noted.
The analyst explains that the West will eventually supply Ukraine with heavy missiles that can strike first at a range of 500 kilometers and then 2-3 thousand kilometers and above. These missiles will be used.
“No one can grant us peace in the global situation that is forming. The only thing that can dramatically change the situation is our awakening,” the analyst believes.
Kurginyan named the components of the awakening. Firstly, the people have to understand that a war is going on, and we must act appropriately. Secondly, we need to quickly transform our air defense system to cover all the holes it has. The political scientist explained that we should prevent any crowding of people near the frontline. And most importantly, our economy and the whole life of our country must be put on a war footing.
“Our society has already become accustomed to the term SMO, and it takes it indifferently as it understands that this is a major war. However, we should better say that the war is a war, because this would help us come to many conclusions. In particular, for security measures that we take across our territory,” the analyst stressed.
After thirty years of reforms, the Russian army has suffered serious decay; however, it has proven to be in a better condition that one could expect, the political scientist explained. Nevertheless, this is not sufficient to match the deteriorating situation around us.
“But it [the army] is absolutely insufficient to ensure that we are respected in the new global geopolitical situation, which is unfolding seriously and for the long haul, and they will only respect us if they fear us,” Kurginyan explained.
He stressed that nuclear weapons alone cannot ensure security.
“We need to demonstrate that the actual Russian momentous life is back, and that a political stability and an absolutely new military potential and security potential on the whole will be ensured inside this life. And that it will bring certain changes in our society,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement concluded.
