The visit of Richard Nephew, the US Department of State’s anti-corruption coordinator, to Armenia and Georgia will take place from January 15 to 18. This was reported by the press service of the US Department of State on January 14.
“In both countries, he will discuss measures and challenges in the struggle against corruption, as well as identify areas for further cooperation,” the statement said.
In Armenia, Nephew will meet with various officials, including representatives of law enforcement agencies. In Georgia, his meetings will focus on dialog with officials and representatives of investigative bodies.
Note that Nephew has served as anti-corruption coordinator since July 2022. Previously, he was deputy coordinator of the US sanctions policy.
