Military exercises of the United States, Japan and Australia near Russia’s borders suggest that the US-led anti-China alliances will be used against Russia, according to the report from the theater of war, published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 566.
In mid-December, the Russian Foreign Ministry strongly protested to the Australian Embassy over the participation of an Australian military contingent in trilateral exercises of the United States, Japan, and Australia on the island of Hokkaido close to Russia’s borders.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has made clear to the Australian Embassy the categorical inadmissibility of demonstrative military activity near Russia’s Far Eastern borders.
“US-led anti-China alliances in the Asia-Pacific region will be used against Russia as well. And Australia’s participation in the exercises in Hokkaido, the northernmost and closest largest Japanese island to Russia, is a clear confirmation of this,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
