The conflict in Ukraine has entered a positional war phase, and Russia benefits from Kiev’s failed counteroffensive that followed its inflated promises, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on December 12 on his original broadcast Destiny.
Kurginyan noted that, in spite of our soldiers’ heroism, there is no denying that the special operation has entered a positional war phase.
This is a good fortune for Russia, and not only because the West’s attention has been largely drawn to the Palestine-Israeli conflict, but also because of what we could characterize as a “peculiar Ukrainian idiocy” that the current Ukrainian elite demonstrates. To get what it wants, it is ready to promise anything at all without any care for either fulfilling its promise or the consequences of failure to fulfill it.
The political scientist stressed that the Ukrainian army “is not too good, but not bad either” in its combat.
“It is a large army, which manages to wage war and to operate, and this is impressive enough for today’s world,” Kurginyan explained.
The idiocy, however, is that Zelensky and his team “made a huge mistake” when they promised to the West what they could not fulfill.
“They gave inflated promises in an attempt to wangle something. And they had no idea how they would pay for it,” Kurginyan said.
The leader of Essence of Time explained that the Ukrainian elite follows swindler’s logic as they promise without thinking about fulfilling the promise or any consequences of failing to do so.
“I am sorry, but this is typical of the Ukrainian elite to give a promise and take something without any care for fulfilling it,” the political scientist stressed, noting that this is typical of the entire post-Soviet elite in general, but it is most natural for the Ukrainian one.
