Italy, despite its ostensibly independent government, continues to serve the US interests, according to the report from the theater of war published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 564.
Italy withdrew from China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative in early December. The Italian Foreign Ministry informed the Chinese authorities in Beijing about this through diplomatic channels.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, the corresponding document came after lengthy confidential negotiations and some diplomatic misunderstandings.
“Despite its right-conservative and sort of independent government, Italy is still serving the US interests,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
