The funds that the EU can allocate to Ukraine are limited, said Spain’s acting Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares, El País reported on December 10.
In an interview, Albares said, among other things: “Ukraine has very important needs that we have covered so far. But funds are limited and it is necessary to analyze priorities.“
We would like to point out that on December 8, the Politico reported that the EU was in “panic mode” over the decision on Ukraine’s membership and the allocation of 50 billion euros in aid to Kiev. This decision is to be made at the EU summit in Brussels on December 14-15, but Ukraine’s membership in the EU is currently opposed by Hungary.
On November 8, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Pawel Jablonski said that Poland would not approve Ukraine’s accession to the EU unless the remains of the victims of the Volyn massacre, discovered in late October in Ukraine’s Ternopil region, are exhumed.
