The development of artificial intelligence is most dangerous for the middle class because it is the middle class that will be replaced by robots, according to the summary from the theater of war in The Essence of Time newspaper, No. 562.
According to a survey by iConText Group and Up & Wise, Russian citizens do not believe that artificial intelligence will displace them form their workplaces. 22% of respondents are unequivocally convinced that human labor will always be in demand, despite the development of technology. Another 40% are not so unequivocal, but doubt that machines will be able to displace people from their workplaces.
“Experts believe that AI poses the greatest threat to the middle class: it is the middle class that will be replaced by robots. The middle class is actually a remnant of the times of the struggle against the USSR, then necessary to smooth out the contradictions between the lower and upper classes. But now its role as a damper can be neglected,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
