Six months of the Ukrainian “counter-offensive” resulted in losses of more than 125,000 people and 16,000 units of various weapons, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry Sergey Shoigu said, as reported by the Russia 24 TV channel on December 1.
“For six months of the so-called counter-offensive, the enemy has lost more than 125 thousand people and 16 thousand units of various weapons,” the Defense Minister said, opening a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces.
Shoigu noted the effectiveness of the Russian Armed Forces’ actions in the zone of Russia’s special military operation and a significant decrease in the Ukrainian armed units’ combat capabilities due to these actions: the control zones of Russian troops in all directions are expanding.
The Defense Minister added that the use of active defense tactics continues, which also makes it possible to build up combat capabilities. He mentioned the units of the 810th Marine Brigade, the 150th Motorized Rifle Division, the 4th, 15th, 114th, 123rd Motorized Rifle Brigades that distinguished themselves in the battles.
The Kiev regime sent troops in a counter-offensive on June 4, 2023. Many units were trained according to NATO standards by instructors of the alliance countries. They were equipped with NATO weaponry.
In the fall, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a disappointing assessment of the results of the Kiev regime’s actions – a complete failure. As the head of the Russian Defense Ministry noted, the Ukrainian armed units did not achieve their goals in any of the areas.
