Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden were only able to agree on pandas during the negotiations, political scientist, philosopher, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on November 17 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
Kurginyan suggested to recall who destroyed “the existing, stable, very dear to the hearts of the Chinese people and the Chinese elite cooperation between China and the United States.” Former US President Donald Trump was the first who stated this by calling China the main enemy of the United States. Biden later confirmed this.
“The US elites developed an ideological worldview for this goal. Why is the global situation presented as a confrontation between authoritarianism and democracy? Why do they develop such worldview? To wage the Cold War,” Kurginyan explained.
Under these conditions, it is impossible to agree on anything fundamental, the expert is convinced. Agreements to curb drug production from China will lead nowhere, since China will find many ways to circumvent the bans.
“The triad will produce as much as it needs. Pretend to be concerned and say, ‘We’ve reduced everything! That will do! Why are you so nervous, gentlemen?’” the political scientist explained.
The Taiwan issue was not resolved either. Xi Jinping warned those who consider Taiwan a separate state. So Biden immediately says, “We’re not talking about it, we’re not saying anything.”
According to the political scientist, the issue of pandas was the only one on which the leaders of China and the United States were able to agree.
“And if they fulfill the agreement, which is possible, then the bears will be fine. Why shouldn’t we be happy for the bears?” Kurginyan noted.
