Production of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Rostov region is scheduled to increase 10 times, the press service of the region’s governor reported on November 15.
Governor Vasily Golubev approved the regional program for the development of unmanned aircraft systems for the period from 2024 to 2030. According to the program’s objectives, it is planned to develop the production of UAVs and components for them in the region. At the same time, it is planned to stimulate demand for drones and develop the industry’s human and scientific potential.
The program has been developed following the Strategy of development of unmanned aviation of the Russian Federation until 2030 and the national project Unmanned Aviation Systems. A research and production center for unmanned aircraft systems will be established in the Rostov region.
“As a result, the number of unmanned aircraft systems produced at the Don production facilities should grow tenfold,” the statement reads.
