Unconditional loyalty to the United States is detrimental to Germany, the world needs security, but without US supremacy, German politician Sahra Wagenknecht said in an interview with Der Spiegel on October 29.
“We must return to diplomacy and alignment of interests. Security can only be achieved together. … Unconditional loyalty to the United States is not in our interests [the interests of Germany – Rossa Primavera News Agency],” Wagenknecht said.
Wagenknecht said that instead of NATO, a new European security alliance should be created with Russia and preferably without the United States.
The politician recalled that over the past 25 years, the USA, disregarding international law, has invaded five countries of the world. The USA is waging proxy wars in other countries as well. The USA built the existing world of crises and conflicts, Wagenknecht emphasized.
There should be a defensive alliance that solves problems with diplomacy and disarmament. The US only respects its own interests, the German politician said.
At the same time, Wagenknecht believes that the West should offer Russia to stop supplying Western weapons to Ukraine. Russia should enter peace talks.
