Iran is as sentenced to death as Russia, political scientist, philosopher, theater director and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said in the article “Karabakh Bell” in the Essence of Time newspaper No. 553 on September 27.
“Russia has every right to ignore what is happening in Pashinyan’s Armenia. But can a Russian ally like Iran pay no attention to it? No, of course not. A bit later or a bit sooner it will intervene,” the political scientist began comparing the positions of Iran and Russia.
He said that Iranian officials told him that they would not allow Armenia’s borders to be changed in a way that would be dangerous for Iran, and described exactly how Iran would resist it. Kurginyan pointed out that Iran is already pulling up armored vehicles to Armenia’s borders.
“But let’s assume they are wishful thinking just as the Serbs once did, claiming that the first German tank on Serbian territory would turn into a Serbian missile attack on German territory. Let’s assume that the Iranians are bragging the same way now. And that both they and Russia will be pacified by some not very large profit, something like leftovers that a Turkish baron gives to his servants,” the political scientist said.
Kurginyan noted that Iran has been sentenced to death, just like Russia, and how much leftovers will be given to the sentenced before death is not so important. They can be fed any dish they want, he added.
In his opinion, the question is in “the very nature of this sentencing, both Iranian and Russian. It is not a one-step process, they issued a sentence and carried it out. No, it is a process that unfolds over time“.
The political scientist is sure that despite Russia’s attempts to build good relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan, Turkey’s conflict with Iran will have a strong impact on Russia, because a huge part of the Turkic peoples, which Turkey dreams of uniting within the Great Turan, is located in Russia.
