Kurginyan: What is happening in Ukraine suits the core of US elite

21.09.2023, Moscow.

The United States will not stop supporting the Kiev regime because the core of the US political elite is satisfied with the proxy war, and they want to further expand the conflict, political scientist, analyst, philosopher, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on September 8 in a new issue of the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio station.

The program’s host Anna Shafran said that according to the polls conducted in the USA, the majority of Americans do not approve of the allocation of the next aid package to Ukraine; moreover, election processes are under way in the USA. This raises the question how this will affect the support of the US side for the regime in Kiev.

“Here, everything depends very much on the clarity of understanding of the current situation in American society and, first and foremost, in the US elite,” Kurginyan said.

The political scientist noted that he was not ready to discuss the motives of the current generation of the US political elite – to what extent they are motivated by the desire to enrich themselves. However, the core of the political class has a firm understanding that the conflict in Ukraine should be not curtailed, but rather expanded.

“Mitt Romney, not a minor politician, by the way, said that the war in Ukraine is the most profitable investment possible: [we spend only] 5% of the military budget, and get so much by other people’s hands!” the analyst stated.

Essence of Time’s leader also recalled Zbigniew Brzezinski, the “guru” of the US Democratic Party, who taught that “Ukraine is super important” to prevent Russia’s revanche after losing the Cold War. And the win in the Cold War is fantastically important for the core of the US political class.

“These are constants of the US political class. It has no reason to curtail this [conflict in Ukraine]. And it is extremely eager to expand this,” Kurginyan is convinced.
