Kurginyan: Russia needs to change its ideology in regards to understanding the essence of the enemy

28.08.2023, Aleksandrovskoye.

Russia needs to give up the illusion that Ukraine won’t be able to withstand for a long time, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on August 11 in the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio station.

Anna Shafran, the host of the program, noted that the term “perpetual war” was coined by RAND Corporation experts. It illustrates their plan for future developments in Ukraine and suggests that the West has the opportunity to indefinitely prolong the confrontation. The journalist asked the expert what Russia should do in such circumstances since such a scenario is unacceptable.

First of all, the Russian authorities and society must give up any illusions, any “dismissive attitudes,” any ideas that this enemy is about to sink, noted Kurginyan. He stressed that “the ideology regarding this issue must be modified.

“We must understand that Ukraine is indeed a Nazi state, not in a classic sense, but in the most promising to our enemy way. It is a country where about a million people are hating us with a passion and for a long time – I want to say –  for centuries, well, at least for huge time intervals – people who are capable of passing their hatred from generation to generation. This absolutely blind hatred is aimed precisely at the Russians, who are like the Jews of the 21st century to this new version of Nazism,” said the expert.

Even though the Ukrainian Nazi ideology is linked to the totalitarian ideology of Hitler, it is different, noted the philosopher. This ideology does not at all imply that the entire population will scream “heil!” or something like that, explained the political scientist.

“This is a real Nazism. There can be nothing worse than Hitler’s Nazism, but in a certain sense, this one is worse,” concluded the expert.
