Ukrainian troops shelled the Kuibyshev and Kiev districts of Donetsk using Western heavy artillery. A representative of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) to the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Issues related to the Ukrainian War Crimes said this on 19 August.
“The Ukrainian armed units opened fire along the directions: 07:30 a.m. – from village Yasnobrodovka – on Donetsk (Kuibyshev and Kiev districts): 3 155mm rounds of munition were fired,” stated in the message.
The Ukrainian nationalists use not only artillery, but also multiple rocket launchers, including foreign models such as the US HIMARS or German MARS II, to shell towns in Donbass.
