Russian Security Council Secretary: US will not value Japanese more than lives of Ukrainian soldiers

22.08.2023, Magadan.

The Japanese authorities resumed imperial anti-Russian and anti-Chinese rhetoric, and have embarked on a course of militarization, following US policy, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said at a meeting in Magadan on August 22.

“The Japanese should have better learned the lessons of the past. It is not worth making illusions that Americans will value Japanese lives more than, for example, the lives of Ukrainian soldiers,” he said.

Patrushev noted that Japan is buying offensive weapons, and the country has also begun to declare the need to acquire nuclear weapons. There are also revanchist slogans and calls to regain control of the Kuril Islands.

The secretary of the Russian Security Council recalled that Washington and London had long been unleashing proxy military conflicts, as it happened in Ukraine.

In addition, Patrushev pointed out that the Japanese authorities, ingratiating with the United States, do not make public statements about who dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He noted that falsifiers of history make it look as if Russia was the aggressor and the Americans came to save the Japanese. At the same time, Tokyo claims a nuclear threat, which allegedly comes from the Russian Federation.
