Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock’s statement about Ukrainian drone attacks on Russia “sponsorship of terrorism” in a comment to the Izvestia newspaper on August 22.
“This is what the West calls ‘sponsors of terrorism’,” Zakharova said.
Western countries that allow statements by government officials about the normality of terrorist attacks risk facing domestic terrorism in the future.
Earlier, the head of the German Foreign Ministry Annalena Baerbock, responding to a question from journalists that the attacks of Ukrainian drones could lead to an escalation of the conflict, said that she considers these attacks the right of Ukraine to self-defense, so they are legal.
