BRICS has already surpassed the G7 group in some parameters, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his video address at the BRICS summit on August 22.
He emphasized that the share of the BRICS countries, which are home to more than three billion people, has reached almost 26% of global GDP, and in terms of purchasing power parity, the five countries have surpassed the G7.
The Russian President also made a forecast for 2023 – 31.5% (BRICS) against 30% (G7) in purchasing power parity.
