Russian reconnaissance groups successfully assaulted the Ukrainian armed units’ trenches near Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov, leader of the public movement We are together with Russia, told RIA Novosti on August 14.
The reconnaissance groups conducted a counterattack on the Ukrainian positions and, having taken the enemy by surprise, stormed the trenches, Rogov said. Some Ukrainian soldiers were destroyed, and some were taken prisoner.
The Ukrainian armed units constantly attack the Russian positions near Rabotino on the Orekhovsky direction. However, minefields and Russian aviation and artillery do not allow Ukrainian soldiers to advance deeply into the Russian defenses.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Aleksey Danilov said on August 3 that Ukraine did not have a definite schedule for the counter-offensive.
