Western attempts to get the global South to support Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s so-called “peace formula” are doomed to failure, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on August 6, TASS reported.
According to Ryabkov, the consultations in Jeddah are “a reflection of the West’s attempts to continue useless, doomed to failure efforts to mobilize the international community, or more precisely, the global South, even if not completely, to support Zelensky’s so-called formula“.
The diplomat emphasized that Zelensky’s “peace formula” is untenable and doomed from the very beginning, but the West is still trying to pull the countries of the global South to support some parts of this formula.
In doing so, the West is acting in “its usual cunning, deceitful manner,” Ryabkov noted.
