Ukrainian armed units hit Tokmak in Russia with cluster munitions

28.07.2023, Simferopol.

Ukrainian troops hit the town of Tokmak in the Zaporozhye region three times over the past 24 hours with cluster munitions. The interim governor of the region Yevgeniy Balitskiy stated this on his Telegram channel on 28 July.

“Yesterday, the enemy launched three missile strikes with cluster munitions on the residential area of Tokmak,” Balitskiy said.

As a result of the Ukrainian armed units’ missile strikes, one civilian was killed. Another was injured.

A gas pipeline was damaged. According to the region’s head, the relevant services promptly cut off the gas supply, and repair crews began to restore the damaged sections of the gas pipeline.

Balitskiy noted that the second missile launched by Ukrainian nationalists was repelled by air defense equipment. The third missile managed to reach the target but did not explode. Groups of deminers neutralized them.
