The mutiny of the Wagner PMC leader Yevgeny Prigozhin with the march of the Wagner soldiers towards Moscow could have been caused by a threat of his physical elimination, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said as a hypothesis on July 11 in a new issue of this original broadcast Destiny.
Prigozhin, according to Kurginyan, dared to initiate a mutiny because he was primarily driven by his personal security considerations, and he saw an escape from a situation that was dangerous for him in “making a mess.”
“He was 100% sure he would be eliminated. Personally him. Not some camps of his Wagner soldiers. Him. By whom and how was another story. This is what he understood. Firstly, he has an intuition. He felt that instinctively. Secondly, something apparently happened, which gave him a proof that he was right. And thirdly, he has a capability to perceive.”
Having realized this, Prigozhin, according to the philosopher, “did not simply become worried, but he became destabilized.” And, in an excitation from that, he, as quite an unstable person, went to the limit, Kurginyan explained.
In fact, the leader of the PMC reasoned that he would be either “quietly sent to the afterlife or he would make a mess and then it would become more difficult to send him to the afterlife,” he noted,
“And his prediction was absolutely precise. He received certain security guarantees, although perhaps conditional. During these events, the situation took an image according to which he [Prigozhin] should rather be protected than eliminated. By those at power. This is how he saved himself. Perhaps not forever, but he substantially moved the situation towards his personal security,” Kurginyan believes.
Situation at the front, the West’s opinion, political stability – all these things were absolutely irrelevant for Prigozhin at that moment, the political scientist believes.
“He was working for himself, for his own physical security… <…> Can I affirm this? Of course, I cannot. This is a hypothesis of mine. But to me it has the meaning of a fact, and in the beginning [of the broadcast] I told how exactly I have been working over the past decades just to explain when something becomes a fact to me,” Sergey Kurginyan noted.
