The future depends on people with very different motivations and competencies, said philosopher, analyst, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on the air of the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda on June 30.
“I know that tomorrow depends very much on people with very different competencies, motivations, who must become leaders. I grieve for the fact that this is a rather weak and narrow circle – ‘the circle of these’ leaders is narrow, ‘they are terribly far from the people,’” said the political scientist.
Kurginyan then told of a situation that happened to him in the village where he has been writing all of his books for more than 20 last years.
“My wife and I are walking along some trails, and suddenly a moderately shattered old SUV drives toward us, and a 30-35-year-old man with a very Russian face gets out of it and asks quite intelligently and politely: ‘Could you please tell me how to get to the cemetery around here?’ And my wife tells him that he has to take a turn here and there. He leaves, and my wife says ‘Guys like him will determine whether we have Russia or not’.” – Kurginyan said.
He noted that “will this elite burn or party heavily depends on the motivation and how well these people understand elite’s actions, in their language, in accordance with their values“.
Therefore, the “arrogant beau monde” has only two options, either to leave the country, or to understand that the life of Russia and their own life depends on those who are at war.
This patriotic part of society should be respected, spoken with, valued, understood, and anticipated before the impulses of their discontent are “taken up by the rebellious bastards.”
