24.06.2023, Minsk.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko spoke by the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin about the results of talks with the Wagner PMC leaders, the press service of the head of the Republic said in its Telegram channel on June 24.

The President of Belarus informed the President of Russia about the results of talks with the leaders of the ‘Wagner’ PMC,” reads the statement.

The conversation between the heads of state took place at 21:00 Moscow time. It is noted that Putin expressed his gratitude to Lukashenko for the talks.

Earlier, Putin had informed Lukashenko about the situation in the south of Russia. The head of Belarus, as agreed with Putin, held talks with the head of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin. They were held throughout the day.

As a result, the parties reached an agreement on the inadmissibility of “unleashing a bloodbath on the territory of Russia“. Prigozhin agreed with Lukashenko’s opinion and stopped the movement of PMCs on Russian territory.
