Kurginyan: Kiev is fighting a war of extermination with its own people

17.06.2023, Moscow.

Military defeat will not force Kiev and its Western masters to start peace negotiations, writes political scientist, and the philosopher Sergey Kurginyan in his article The Hybrid in the Essence of Time newspaper.

After losing the battle for Artemovsk, or Bakhmut, Western “friends” were not disappointed in Kiev, notes Kurginyan. On the contrary, it was announced about the build-up of military assistance and fast deliveries of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine shortly thereafter.

“It means that the more Ukraine loses, the more, not less, the West will continue to help it. And no European groaning and moaning will change anything here,” writes the political scientist.

At the same time, according to Kurginyan, the continuation of the war is also beneficial for the Ukrainian authorities – Kiev is actively using the opportunity to sell dead bodies of the common people at a direct financial and reputational cost.

“Ukraine has the opportunity to sell a couple million more of dead Ukrainians. Why would it refuse this? To Ukraine, the trench warfare of attrition is a source of both – its financial benefits, and its political pride,” writes the leader of the Essence of Time movement.
