In Zaporozhye region, an attempted murder of the head of the police department of the Kirillovka town was prevented, which had been prepared by one of the Ukrainian saboteurs, the region’s Federal Security Service (FSB) department told to journalists on May 10.
“An attempt on one of the heads of law enforcement agencies in Zaporozhye region was prevented. <…> The first victim of the criminals was to be the head of the police department in Kirillovka town Balabin Y.A.,” the regional department of the FSB noted.
According to the agency, one of the suspects in the preparation of a series of terrorist attacks and murders was a 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen who was supervised by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
“When attempting to detain the criminal showed armed resistance, but thanks to the professional actions of the Russian FSB special forces, he was disarmed,” the FSB added.
