A Ukrainian drone attempted to strike the Kursk nuclear power plant in Kurchatov, RIA Novosti informed on April 27, citing a regional emergency services representative.
“Air defense forces repelled the attempted drone strike at the Kursk nuclear power plant,” the spokesman said, explaining that the incident occurred the night before.
Earlier, on April 27, two border villages of Gornal and Guevo were left without electricity due to artillery fire by the Ukrainian army. There were no casualties as a result of the shelling.
The border villages of the Kursk region are regularly subjected to shelling from Ukraine.
