The West wants to create more problems for Russia by opening a “second front” in Moldova or Transcaucasia, according to a summary from the theater of war published in The Essence of Time newspaper no. 529.
In early April, Sergey Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), said that the West was forcing Georgia into a military conflict with Russia. Simultaneously with Naryshkin’s statement, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said that the West planned to restore the Saakashvili regime in Georgia and thus “Ukrainianize” the country.
Kelly Degnan, the US Ambassador to Georgia, responded that information about the intentions to open “the second front” with the help of Georgia is an absolute lie and a conspiracy theory.
“The West really wants to open a “second front” against Russia – first of all in the south, for example, in Moldova or Transcaucasia. But Finland’s accession to NATO will also create much problems for Russia,” The Essence of Time‘s reads.
