The USSR had its own electronics industry, but its development was hampered by Soviet ministers, said philosopher, analyst, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in an interview with the BelTA Belarusian channel published on March 23.
“We had our own electronics. Our ministers destroyed it. Kosygin and the others destroyed it,” said the political analyst.
Kurginyan explained that he had friends in the State Planning Committee of the USSR who used to tell about the consequences of linear optimization in the country. In their opinion, such optimization was incompatible with the development.
“After the introduction of linear optimization (by Kantorovich and others), each new major discovery could only be brought to life by a separate decision of the Politburo of the CPSU Central Committee, because linear optimization and development are incompatible,” Kurginyan explained.
The political scientist emphasized that today such strategic objectives as the development of the electronic industry should not be removed from the agenda. They cannot be forgotten while solving current tasks.
