Minsk took a course of rapprochement with Moscow when it realized that the West would destroy all the achievements of Belarus, said philosopher, political analyst, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement, Sergey Kurginyan in an interview with Vyacheslav Manucharov on the YouTube channel of Manuchi’s Empathy program, published on March 13.
“He [Lukashenko] just realized that it would all be destroyed … Therefore a new, to my mind, not yet sufficient, but brotherhood was reborn” Kurginyan said.
Some time ago, Belarus wanted to enter Europe, and Lukashenko very skillfully managed to combine the Soviet experience with the westernization of the country, the political analyst said. The analyst recalled that the president even cooperated with the British PR and political technologist Timothy Bell, but it’s all in the past now.
According to the expert, the situation in Minsk changed when the Belarusian President saw that the West does not need a developing and modernized Belarus.
