Russia will never forget the brazen and lawless aggression against Yugoslavia in 1999, said Yevgeny Primakov, head of Rossotrudnichestvo (Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation), on March 24.
“We will never forget the lesson of brazen and lawless aggression of the Western world, the world of ‘golden billion,’ the world of colonial empires, the world of corporations, the US and NATO world against Yugoslavia. Will Serbia forget? God knows. But Russia has drawn its conclusions,” he said.
Primakov noted that contempt for international law is the real “snout of this ‘beautiful’ civilized world.”
March 24 marks 24 years of NATO’s bombing of Yugoslavia in Serbia. The NATO attack killed 2,500 people, including 87 children.
