The first permanent US Army garrison was established in Poland, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak announced on March 21.
“As of today, the garrison in Poznan begins operating,” Błaszczak said.
Błaszczak attended the ceremony of establishing the garrison at the Kosciuszko Camp in Poznan. Previously considered a temporary garrison, it will be the eighth permanent US military garrison in Europe.
