Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s statement about Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s fear shows that the Ukrainian politician is being written off, according to a bulletin from the war theater of Essence of Time newspaper.
Previously, Naftali Bennet noted that at the beginning of 2022 in the Kremlin, President Vladimir Putin promised him not to kill Zelenskiy. Communication with the Russian president occurred at the request of Zelenskiy, who believed that he was going to be liquidated, said the Israeli politician.
After the meeting, Bennett called the Ukrainian politician and gave him his conversation with Putin. Immediately afterwards, Zelenskiy “went back to his office and recorded a video from his office,” in which he said he was not afraid of anything, the former Israeli prime minister noted.
“Bennett’s statement is a strong reputational blow to Zelenskiy. And this happens right at a time when Kiev is feverishly preparing for a spring offensive and the auditors from Washington are demanding a massive purge of Ukrainian corrupt officials. It looks like Zelenskiy is a waste,” reads an editorial in the Essence of Time newspaper.
