The Greeks of the Azov region cannot support the Banderites because it is suicidal, Mariupol journalist Andrey Kior said in an interview with the Essence of Time newspaper on January 27.
“We see how Nazism is flourishing in Ukraine, how the current Ukrainian government seeks to eradicate anything Russian, to destroy Russian-speaking people. Now, with this policy of Ukraine, how can the average Greek support this country? He, in fact, becomes a kamikaze: ‘I am for Nazism, kill me too,’ ” said Kior.
The journalist added that thanks to the internationalism in their blood, Greeks in Mariupol have never had any antipathy toward Russia. Russia has always been a friend to them. According to him, this is the result of Russia’s centuries-old policy and deeds.
The Greeks of the Azov region support the liberation of Ukraine from Nazism, Kior noted.
