Information that the US is re-establishing contacts with terrorist organizations that oppose the current Afghan authorities and secretly sponsors ISIL (organization banned in Russia) is available to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Zamir Kabulov, the Special Representative of the Russian President for Afghanistan and Director of the Second Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said on the air of the TV channel Russia 24 on January 20.
“Yes, there is such information.” Mr. Kabulov said, “They [the US authorities – Rossa Primavera News Agency’s comment] do this not for their own good but for their own detriment because they would like to take revenge for their shameful military and political defeat in Afghanistan.”
According to the special envoy, Washington is looking for contacts with the armed opposition in Afghanistan “in revenge,” and is ready to do everything to ensure peace never comes to the long-suffering Afghan land.
According to the director of the department, the worst thing in this situation is that “Anglo-Saxons secretly sponsor the ISIL members (organization banned in Russia),” which threatens the stable existence of not only Afghanistan’s neighbors but also the security of Russian state.
