The Russian Armed Forces took control of the center of Soledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the region’s acting head Denis Pushilin wrote on his Telegram channel on January 10.
The previous morning it became known that the village of Bakhmutskoye, located near Soledar and northeast of Artemovsk, had been liberated.
Artemovsk is an important transport hub, through which roads and railways pass, through which the Ukrainian armed units is supplied.
There is fierce fighting over these two towns at the moment.
Earlier, Ivan Filiponenko, an official representative of the LPR People’s Militia, said that Ukrainian servicemen are fleeing Soledar en masse.
