China is ready to defend the sovereignty and security of the two countries together with Russia and to oppose the policy of a unipolar world order, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on December 30, China Central Television informed.
“China is ready to work with Russia and all progressive forces in the world opposing hegemonism and politics of force <…> as well as resolutely defend the sovereignty, security and development interests of the two countries,” Xi Jinping said.
He said this includes countering international persecution, protectionism and various forms of pressure on undesirable countries.
He stressed that China and Russia are ready to defend the principles of impartiality and justice in the international arena together.
