The creation of the Soviet Union put an end to the undivided domination of capitalism, said Chinese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Zhang Hanhui, RIA Novosti reported on December 26.
According to him, the birth of the Soviet Union showed to the world that “socialism has turned from an ideal into reality“.
Moreover, Zhang noted, the Great October Socialist Revolution radically changed the structure of international relations, inspired proletarian revolutions and national liberation movements of oppressed peoples in other countries, helped spread Marxism-Leninism in the world and made possible the world victory over fascism.
The USSR has left a deep and long-lasting footprint in history, the Chinese ambassador added. China has learned the lessons of Soviet history well and is now building Russian-Chinese relations taking into account the experience of past years, he stressed.
