A Russian armored unit of the Western Military District, consisting of T-80 tanks disrupted an offensive by the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kharkov region, RIA Novosti reported on December 19.
According to the tank unit commander, the main task was to prevent the enemy from concentrating and “accumulate forces for an attack”.
He explained that the tank crews “practiced” targeting infantry, which is “in direct contact” with the enemies’ armored units.
