American-style globalization is over, and a new system of world order is being built in its place, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on December 7 at the international forum Primakov Readings.
Lavrov noted that Russia has no illusions about the West and its responsible participation in globalization processes that it itself initiated. According to him, the West has proven to be completely unreliable, deceitful and showed no desire to look for common solutions.
“American-style globalization is over. One inevitably has to endure some residual processes, but a new system is being built in parallel – both financial and logistical, which should not depend on the whims and sense of superiority of our Western former partners,” Lavrov said.
The head of the Foreign Ministry emphasized that Russia has true partners in such international structures as BRICS, Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, Eurasian Economic Union, and Commonwealth of Independent States.
