The West has a powerful concept that Man is exhausted and needs a fundamental transformation, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on November 25 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.
He told about a conversation he had with an academician, then advisor to General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev, Nikita Moiseev.
“Ultimately, everything that will be happening, will be similar to the transition from the Paleolithic age to the Neolithic age, or from the Neanderthal man to the Cro-Magnon man,” Kurginyan quoted the academician’s statement.
The political scientist quoted the scientist who told him that this transition would “keep 3 to 4 per cent of the human mass.” When Kurginyan asked what was to happen to the rest of the people, the academician answered with a quote from Strugatsky’s science fiction book, “The beasts were standing at the door, they were shot, and they died.”
The scientist explained his idea that “the species Homo sapiens is a dry branch on the tree of evolution, and the tree must be saved, so the branch must be cut off, and then maybe something new and post-human will appear,” Kurginyan told.
The political scientist stressed that the scientist the talk with whom we quoted was quite respected in the West. What he said was not his fantasies but “in fact he expressed global concepts,” Kurginyan noted.
