Many protesters in the Czech Republic support Russia, the Czech publication Seznam Zprávy wrote on October 1.
Its correspondent interviewed protesters in Prague’s Wenceslas Square and found that many support Russia, even though they previously held different views.
“I have always been anti-Russian. When the Russians were here, I threatened them, but now, unfortunately, I have changed my mind,” entrepreneur Miroslav Ludvík from Hulín told reporters.
A similar answer was given by worker Jirka from Dečnsk. When asked by a journalist why he came to the demonstration, the protester said that he wanted a better life for his children and to oppose the propaganda. When the journalist asked about Russian propaganda, he replied, “No, on the contrary. I trust the Russians.”
